Severin Camp

Severin Safari Camp is a deluxe accommodation in the elusive heart of Tsavo West National Park. The camp is located about 250 km away from both Mombasa and Nairobi. The camp has 27 tents and suites in all, some with twin beds and others with double beds with an optional third bed as an add-on. The octagon shape tents are made of canvas with a flap entrance and mesh windows that let in the daylight, cool breezes, scents of vegetation, and resonances of the fauna Savanna. A very special experience is the sundowner at Poacher’s Lookout. 

The Camp can be reached by scheduled flights from the airports of Mombasa and Nairobi Wilson or with private charter flights. The nearest airstrips are Finch Hattons and Kilaguni (both located about 30 minutes away from the camp), which are served daily by Safarilink from Nairobi Wilson and by Mombasa Air Safaris from Mombasa. Meals at Severin camp are served as à la carte lunch and dinner in their “Out of Africa” Restaurant. After an exciting day in the bush, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the wilderness at the crystal clear pool or relax during a vitalizing massage in a private atmosphere. Each of the tented rooms faces the rugged wilderness where you might chance to see impalas, elands, waterbuck, zebras or giraffes stopping by for a drink at the waterhole. Families traveling in East Africa can opt for the Junior and Executive suites which are larger and have a lounge room.
