Tortilis Camp

Tortilis Camp boasts an enviable location, offering a front-row view of Africa’s tallest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro. Named after the flat-topped, umbrella-thorn tree, the Acacia Tortilis, Tortilis Camp embraces a hill within the Amboseli’s Acacia Tortilis woodland. Situated within a 30,000-acre private conservancy (Kitirua Conservancy) adjoining the national park, game drives, walks, sundowners, and bush meals unfold both within the national park and the conservancy, ensuring guests an exclusive experience.

The tents are generously proportioned, featuring either king or twin beds and elegant en suite bathrooms. A central lounge, bar, and dining area, constructed with natural materials and thatched roofs, provide a comfortable gathering space. The Private House and Family Tent positioned slightly apart from the main camp on the hill, share access to a pool.

Tortilis Camp holds the distinction of being one of the pioneering eco-lodges of its size, and it takes great pride in its 100% solar power supply. Guests can rest assured that their stay leaves a minimal footprint.
