TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK
Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest parks in Kenya, located South East of Kenya near the town of Voi in the Taita-Taveta District of Coast Province, inland from the Coast, it is 13,747 sq.km.
The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. This, along with the 300 kilometer long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, make for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser kudu, gerenuk and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species.

Satao Camp offers its guests the classical ‘Out of Africa’ experience. Spacious tented accommodation is complemented by first-class cuisine and genuine hospitality.
The camp boasts 20 authentic safari style en-suite tents, each with private verandahs, nestled among the tamarind trees surrounding the camp’s very own watering hole. The tents are carefully positioned to allow uninterrupted views of the visiting wildlife whilst ensuring total privacy.
DAY 1: DRIVE TO TSAVO EAST
DAY 2
Early morning game drives at 0630hrs returning to the camp for breakfast at around 0800hrs. Head on game drives after breakfast. Return to the camp for lunch. Have an afternoon rest then head for more game drives at 16:00 hours. Return by 18:00 hours to the camp for dinner and overnight.
